If there is one thing we know about Gordon Ramsay, it is that he is not a vegan chef and honestly, he is not so much about the no meat dishes of the world. But on MasterChef: Back to Win, that may change in “Gordon Ramsay Loves Vegans.” Why? Because our returning MasterChef contestants are about to take on a vegan challenge because Ramsay himself has revealed his apparently love for vegan food!

In this seventh episode of MasterChef, there are 17 chefs left and this time it is all about preparing completely meatless dishes. And with an entire garden of veggies and fruits to choose from, it’s about to be an amazing challenge.

But first, it was Gordon Ramsay‘s turn to take his Beef Wellington and make it into a Beet Wellington! (The mind is blown!)

Now it was the contestants’ turn to create their own vegan dishes in just one hour.

So which dishes caught our eye during the judges walkthrough of the kitchen?

Dara’s Jackfruit Peking Duck Taco dish was definitely something that sounded like a dish we would dig into. Then there was Derrick’s Beet Tartare, which was an interesting play on the classic Beef Tartare (he also had us with the avocado). And then we had Samantha with her Stuffed Potato Pancake, which was being stuffed with mushrooms.

Basically, these three dishes got our attention immediately. And they were definitely the chefs we were hoping to see make it into the top three based on how tasty their dishes sounded.

So who made it to the top three in the kitchen according to the judges?

Turns out we weren’t wrong to have our eye on Derrick as his Beet Tartare on a smashed avocado base made it into the top three! Next up was Amanda with a Falafel on a homemade Pita. Finally, the third top dish of the night came from Bowen with his Tofu Scallops that looked like a true scallop dish.

But which chef won the night and earned the immunity pin? The winning dish for MasterChef‘s first all vegan challenge was Amanda with her amazing Falafel dish.

And of course, that also means we have a bottom three. So who ended up struggling with their vegan dishes?

Up first there was Shelly and her Tofu Curry. The next chef called up was Samantha (we were sad to see this) with her Stuffed Potato Pancake. And finally, there was Fred with his Tofu Gnudi.

And while we hate to see anyone go home, the chef who was ultimately eliminated ended up being Samantha.
