Grand Marnier makes summer margaritas happen
Do you love margaritas? Do you think they are the perfect poolside sip during the summer? Are you looking for a new twist on a classic? Then this recipe from Grand Marnier is for you!
When it comes to summer sipping, a lot of us have turned to canned cocktails for the ease of use and the fact that we don’t have to do any mixing. But sometimes you just want a margarita. Whether you want one on the rocks or frozen, there is something to be said about drinking a classic margarita next to the pool or even while sitting on the back porch getting some sun.
But we don’t often think of Grand Marnier when it comes to making one of those summer margaritas. However, that might change with this Thirsty Thursday stunner.
That is because Grand Marnier wants us to give their Grand Margarita a sip for ourselves. So what exactly goes into a Grand Margarita besides that Grand Marnier? I’m so glad you asked.
Enjoy some Thirsty Thursday and summer sipping with the Grand Margarita from Grand Marnier
Honestly, this might be one of the easiest cocktails we have ever whipped up. And yes, one that we will be sipping on straight on through Christmas.
What you need:
- 1 part of Grand Marnier (since their a few options to choose from, they recommend their Cordon Rouge)
- 1 part Tequila of your choice
- 1/2 part fresh lime juice
- Lime wedge for garnish
- Fine salt for rimming the glass
- Ice cubes (of course)
What to do:
In a small, wide dish, pour a fine layer of salt. Next, cut a lime and rub the rim of the glass with the lime. With the same lime, cut a slice for garnish. Dip the wetted rim of the glass in the salt dish to create a fine coating of salt on the rim.
Now, to make the actual margarita, take the Grand Marnier, tequila, and lime juice and add it to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake up your margarita and then strain it out into your prepped glass and then garnish with your lime slice.
It really is as simple as that. And it ends up making a delicious margarita that we think you will enjoy as much as we did.
