Did you know that July 31 is National Avocado Day? As soon as we learned about this foodie holiday, we needed to see how places like Del Taco were celebrating.

And luckily for us, Del Taco made sure to send out a press email to us that broke down exactly how they are celebrating the magic of the mighty avocado. (Or really, they are celebrating the guac of it all.)

So what is the deal going on over at Del Taco on July 31?

Del Taco is celebrating National Avocado Day with a special deal

To celebrate one of our favorite fruits (that’s right, avocados are technically a fruit), Del Taco is actually giving away free order of their chips and guacamole. And even if guacamole isn’t really your jam, that’s okay too because they are offering an alternative for you that lets you get a free order of their chips and queso instead. The catch? You have to spend $5 along with your free chips and guac (or queso).

So, now that we know what the deal is, how do we actually get our hands on it? In order to take advantage of this deal, you need to be a member of the Del Yeah! Rewards program. And to actually get the deal on July 31, you will need to either order online on their website or go through the rewards app. As long as you have $5 worth of food or drinks in your virtual cart, you will be eligible for your freebie.

We actually love that Del Taco is celebrating National Avocado Day with a freebie deal. Even though it does require a $5 purchase, it’s still a great deal for those of us who love a side order of chips and guacamole with our tacos and tea.

But what do you think guilty eaters? Are we excited for this deal? Will you be taking advantage of this offer?
