Starbucks has voluntarily recalled drinks sold in 7 states
If you’re like me and you’re a Starbucks snob, then you probably have either some bottled or canned Starbucks drinks that you can have from the comfort of your own home. While that’s all fine and dandy, there has been yet another unfortunate event that has forced one particular drink to be voluntarily recalled by Starbucks throughout seven different states.
According to a recent report done by the United States FDA, there are over 220 cases reported all surrounding the following drink: Starbucks Vanilla Espresso Triple Shot (ugh so good). This particular drink is being recalled due to the possibility of there being metal fragments inside.
How does this effect consumers and what has been done already? More on the latest product being recalled from Starbucks.
If you’ve bought a single can on the shelves, then you’re probably okay, although some may feel more comfortable to wait until this has completely blown over. The report indicates that only the 15 ounce cans sold in 12-packs have been affected. How does it affect 12-packs, and not the single cans? Whatever the answer may be, just be aware of what you’re buying nonetheless.
The FDA reported cases of such happening in the following seven states: Arkansas, Arizona, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Oklahoma, and Texas.
While the recall was initially reported back in August (last month), the FDA never officially released or shared anything on it until sometime last week.
If that particular drink being recalled was one of your faves, here are some delicious alternatives until things go back to normal:
- Vanilla Frappuccino Chilled
- Iced Pumpkin Spiced Latte
- Triple Shot Energy: Caramel
- Doubleshot Energy: Vanilla
- Caramel Frappuccino Chilled
- Nitro Cold Brew: Vanilla Sweet Cream
- Doubleshot Energy: White Chocolate (*my personal fave*)
