Mix up these simple spooky spirits for Halloween

Halloween is quickly approaching and what better way to celebrate than with themed cocktails? We’ve rounded up three Halloween cocktails that will sure to be a hit at your Halloween party or  anytime you’re in the mood for some spooky spirits. The best part? These are simple cocktail recipes made with few and/or easy to procure ingredients.

The Apparition
First up is The Apparition. This cocktail is made with Jameson Black Barrel, a triple-distilled, blended whisky. After mixing Jameson Black Barrel in this Halloween cocktail, the remainder of the bottle can be enjoyed in an Old Fashioned throughout the year.

Ingredients:
⅚ Part Blackberry Syrup
50 ml Jameson Black Barrel
⅚ Part Lemon Juice
1 Peel Orange
⅓ Part Orange Juice
1 Splash Soda Water
⅓ Part Sweet Vermouth

Blackberry Syrup: Add berries to a pot and then add two cups of water. Bring to a boil then stir to crush the berries. Add two cups of sugar while continuously stirring. Bring to simmer for 5-10 mins and strain.

Directions: Pour all ingredients into an iced Highball and stir and top with soda water and garnish with the zest of an orange and orange peel.

Fangs Out
The Fangs Out cocktail uses only two ingredients (three if you include the garnish!). This is a fruity cocktail that is perfect for sipping on all year long.  Many popular vodka brands make a blueberry-infused vodka, including SKYY, Smirnoff, Three Olives and Pinnacle.

Ingredients:
6oz Fishers Island Lemonade (half can)
1.5oz Blueberry-infused Vodka

Directions: Pour FIL over ice and top with blueberry vodka. Garnish with lemon.

Frankenlime Fizz
The Frankenlime Fizz uses a lime-flavored bubly brand sparkling water to help give the flavor profile of a Moscow Mule.

Ingredients:
2 oz. limebubly
1.5 oz vodka
2 oz ginger beer

Directions: Build in glass over ice. 2 dashes of green food dye for color.
Garnish: Lime wedge

Jekyll & Hydeball
This cocktail uses a grapefruit Q Mixer which gives the drink a tart, citrusy flavor, while the Tabasco adds a little heat.

Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz Tequila
1 oz Pineapple Juice
1 small dash Tabasco
5 oz Q Sparkling Grapefruit

Directions: Build in highball glass filled with ice and top with Q Sparkling Grapefruit. Garnish with the tops of two chili peppers to create devil horns.
