When Prue Leith stepped in to join Paul Hollywood as a judge on The Great British Bake Off, she had some mighty big shoes to fill. And while she has made the show her own, many fans will openly say that they still miss the charms of Mary Berry.

Since stepping away from Bake Off, Berry has kept herself busy with a string of incredibly popular television specials. In each, she shows how to prepare some of her favorite dishes or judges a group of amateur chefs as only she can.

Some of the most popular of Berry’s specials are her Christmas-themed ones. From Mary Berry Saves Christmas to Mary Berry’s Festive Feasts, each one has been a huge hit and infuses viewers with the holiday spirit.

So why should this season be any different? PBS has announced that Berry’s latest holiday special will arrive on these shores just in time for Christmas. Mary Berry’s Ultimate Christmas features two hours of everything you could need to make the perfect Christmas dinner.

Mary Berry Ultimate Christmas arrives on PBS on December 19.

Berry starts by teaching you how to make her ideal Christmas dinner, which includes Stilton and Sage Mini Scone Canapé, Lemon and Herb Roast Turkey, Crispy Roast Potatoes, Ruby Red Cabbage and Apricot and Chestnut Stuffing.

That will be followed by a pair of desserts. First up is her British Christmas Pudding which is made of dried fruit and nuts served with a boozy cream. Then there is the Festive Trifle that includes layers of custard, cream, sponge cake and pear, topped with spun sugar.

Additionally, Berry will be making the rounds and visit her friends to get their favorite holiday recipes. They include chefs Angela Hartnett and Monica Galetti as well as television host Rylan. Then you will also learn Berry’s secrets for setting the perfect holiday mood by creating an affordable and sustainable Christmas centerpiece for your table.

In the press email we received, Berry talks about the fact that in these challenging times, Christmas should be an occasion for everyone to come together.

"“It goes without saying that Christmas is a very special time of year, but over the last couple of years it has become challenging for us all, whether it’s the emotional hardship of lost loved ones, the economic hardship of cooking for large families or a combination of both. In this special, I am going to bring together everything you need with tips to make it a festive day to remember fondly.”"

Mary Berry Ultimate Christmas airs on December 19 at 9 PM on your local PBS station and will be streaming on PBS.org.
