There is something so delightful about getting something from Auntie Anne’s. Maybe it’s because of the variety or the fact that the establishment isn’t everywhere.
Unlike other chains, Auntie Anne’s is one of those places you can’t find everywhere. The most common locations are usually either the mall or an airport. Since both of those locations are fairly busy, it makes sense.
Plus there is no denying how good pretzels are and Auntie Anne’s has pretty much perfected it at this point. There are many different variations on the classic soft pretzel including the pretzel dog and pretzel nuggets, but it’s ultimately based on what flavors you’re looking for.
Even now, Auntie Anne’s is continuing to change the game for pretzel lovers including those who want breakfast items.
Auntie Anne’s has a new breakfast menu you’ll want to try ASAP.
The idea of adding breakfast items to the menu has been a thought for years as evidenced by Mashed’s rundown. Most notably, the company started small before rolling out the entire lineup at its locations but with a twist. The breakfast items will only be available at airport locations which makes sense.
With the finer details out of the way, let’s get into what we’re all here for which is the food. The major offerings are two pretzel breakfast sandwiches. With the bun obviously being pretzel, the two options are either bacon, egg, and cheese or sausage, egg, and cheese with the latter being more popular. The other option is a sausage stick which is a piece of sausage wrapped in a pretzel which just sounds awesome.
In an interview with QSRweb, the director of menu management, Carl Hornberger also shared another breakfast delight, “In some locations, we also have a freshly made waffle, made from our pretzel mix.” Honestly, if that doesn’t make you want to book a flight for that waffle, I don’t know what to tell you. Maybe that’s a little dramatic, but a pretzel waffle for breakfast sounds pretty amazing.
Either way, I feel like this is a cool new direction for Auntie Anne’s to go in and it makes sense. The company is known for having locations in airports so why not take advantage of this fact? I’m not sure when I’ll get to try one but it sounds like it’s going to be an awesome new menu addition.
