Are you looking for a getaway that includes sun, sand, surf, and food? Then you may want to check out Baha Mar in the Bahamas.

In October, Guilty Eats was invited to visit Baha Mar in the Bahamas for the First Annual Culinary and Arts Festival. It was an amazing experience that let us enjoy some amazing food and meet so many lovely people.

But as foodies, the thing that caught our attention and had us ready to book another trip to Nassau was the sheer number of amazing restaurants that make up the Baha Mar resort. While we did not get to try every single restaurant or bar available, every one we did try was a next level experience as a fan of food.

Have you ever ordered a Poke Bowl and then walked down to the beach? At Baha Mar you can! That is because they have Da’ Poke Bowl Shack on the way to the beach. We literally stopped at the Shack, ordered a bowl and then watched the waves lap at the shore under the midday sun. It was a next level experience that we fell in love with.

Want to start your day with gelato or a delicious pastry? You can do that too! To make that happen, you will want to head to Cafe Madeleine. Not only do they offer amazing bagels from the Bahama Bagel Co., but they offer gelato, French pastries, and more. We ordered croissants and pastries to-go in order to once again head to the beach and enjoy a little morning nibble to the sound of the waves lapping at the shore.

Both of these things sound amazing right? It was. But that’s not all, because you can also enjoy an elevated dining experience at any number of restaurants that will have you breaking out the suit and tie, the cocktail dresses, and all the beautiful outfits in your closet.

Want to try food from Marcus Samuelsson? Check out Marcus at Baha Mar Fish + Chop House. It’s a dining experience you will never forget (oh yeah and you can even get beach views here too!).

Other must try dining experiences come to us courtesy of Carna, Cafe Boulud, Cleo, Shuang Ba, and 25 North to name just a few. (And when I say just a few, I absolutely mean it because there are at least 27 restaurants to choose from that don’t even include room service if you are staying on property or the bars that help bring the nightlife to life.)

If you are thinking of planning a vacation that combines food and the beach, you need some Baha Mar in your life. It will definitely give you everything you want in a getaway and so much more.
