Is there ever a bad time for an order of hot and fresh McDonald’s French fries? We think not! Or what about a classic cheeseburger? Still no!

No matter what day of the year it is, when you want a McDonald’s Big Mac and French fries, you want it! And this includes Christmas day. Just because it may be a holiday, that doesn’t mean that our cravings for salty goodness or cheese covered beef go away.

Or maybe you find yourself with no plans for Christmas and want to get out for a quick bite, then you are likely wondering if McDonald’s will be open on Christmas Day?

Is McDonald’s closed on Christmas Day 2022?

In general, many McDonald’s locations will be open on Christmas Day. However, not all locations will be open. That is because more than 90 percent of locations are actually franchises and the owners of those franchise locations has the option to close for the holiday.

According to Pioneer Woman, “the store recommends using their restaurant locator or calling ahead for opening and closing times.” And this is something we often suggest as well to make sure that the restaurants and stores that we want on a holiday are open when we want something.

Even if your local McDonald’s is open, they may be operating with reduced hours for Christmas, so that is something else to take into account before driving over to the restaurant for those French fries, chicken nuggets, and Big Macs.

Knowing that most McDonald’s locations will be open on Christmas Day means that we do have options when it comes to satisfying our fast food cravings. We just recommend checking the app or looking online with the restaurant locator to make sure you aren’t disappointed.
