When it comes to pasta, there are a few brands that we count on for quality and variety. And Barilla is definitely one of those brands.

Following the news from Ronzoni that they would be discontinuing Pastina in 2023, many pasta lovers fell into a state of panic. The online pasta community was shook and basically it felt like the end of our chicken and stars soup dreams were being canceled.

But here’s the thing. There are other brands of pasta out there. And some of those brands sell their own Pastina (hint: it’s Barilla!).

Barilla makes Pastina and it is still available in stores

While we were devastated by the Ronzoni Pastina news, we also know that there are other brands who have given us Pastina in the past. And this led to a grocery store trip to see if any other brands were still offering this iconic shape of mini pasta.

After a trip to a local grocery store chain (Big Y and Stop & Shop if you were curious), we can confirm that Barilla is still offering Pastina to the pasta lovers out there. And not only are there boxes of these tiny, star shaped pastas on store shelves, but it looks like you can also buy it straight from the brand’s website as well!

If you haven’t tried Barilla pasta in a while, now might just be the perfect time to change that. After all, if you need mini stars for your next batch of homemade soup, then you are going to need their Pastina in your pantry.

We are so happy to see that there is still some Pastina hope in 2023, and we can only hope that Barilla doesn’t break our hearts with any sad pasta news down the road.

What do you say Guilty Eaters? Are we surprised that there is still Pastina in the world thanks to Barilla? Will you be stocking up just in case? We want to know.
