By D. Goodman
As every foodie knows, some snacks are better then others. No, we don’t try to be fair here at Guilty Eats, we try to tell it like it is. The honest truth is some snacks can just hit the spot better than others. And one of those are Cheetos.
While a few people call them cheese puffs, everyone knows that they are simply Cheetos. That is how ubiquitous they have become in American foodie culture. First introduced in 1948, they have since become one of the best selling snacks in history.
With that popularity has come scores of different and unique takes on the snack. A Flamin’ Hot version arrived in 1992 and there is now Cheetos flavored mac and cheese, holiday-themed Cheetos and tons of flavor variations that have come and gone over the years.
Cheetos Crunchy Flamin’ Hot Tangy Chili Fusion are available in stores now.
Well, you can add a brand new flavor to the list. It’s a hot one that has a name that will take you a bit to get the hang of saying. Take a deep breath and say hello to Cheetos Crunchy Flamin’ Hot Tangy Chili Fusion.
Yes, that’s the actual name. Did I lie?
Cheetos Crunchy Flamin’ Hot Tangy Chili Fusion takes the classic Flamin’ Hot version, ups the heat by a factor of Holy Crap and then adds hints of chili peppers, garlic, ginger, and citrus to make a Cheeto that is both sweet and hot at the same time.
Did we mention that these are hot? Like seriously hot? Cheetos was nice enough to send up a couple bags to sample and wow, they have some serious heat. It’s the kind of heat that sneaks up on you and hits you square in the face just as you’re getting ready to shove a few more in your mouth.
Consider yourselves warned.
