Smashburger brings back the Beer Battered Pacific Cod Sandwich in time for Lent
You don’t have to give up your favorite fast food and fast casual restaurants this Lent, as places like Smashburger are making sure there are fish options on the menu.
According to a press email we received, Smashburger has brought back their Beer Battered Pacific Cod Sandwich in time for Lent 2023. And on top of bringing back this delicious fish offering for people who are cutting out meat on Fridays during Lent, the brand is also offering a very special Bogo deal every Friday from March 3 through April 7.
Before we talk about the Bogo deal let’s talk about the sandwich itself. This sandwich features a piece of wild caught pacific cod that has been dipped in a classic batter and lightly fried. That cod is then served on a classic bun with tartar sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, and even American cheese. While you may not think cheese and fish go together, there is something about a fried fish with cheese melted on it that just seems to work when it comes to these sandwiches.
Smashburger is ready for Lent with the perfect cod sandwich and a Bogo deal
For us, this is taking the fish sandwich we know from other fast food restaurants and elevating it to a whole new level. And we love to see it. Of course, there’s also the Bogo deal that we cannot forget. So what exactly is this deal?
Basically when you purchase one of their Beer Battered Pacific Cod Sandwiches you can get a second one for free on a Friday. It’s that simple and that delicious. This is a great way to save a little bit of money this Lent, while still enjoying one of our favorite restaurants.
You can never go wrong with a little Smashburger in your life, and we love the fact that they are giving us a pescatarian option with a great deal. So if you are sticking with fish on Fridays during Lent, they have you covered.
Who else is going to be making a trip to Smashburger for a cod sandwich? Will you be taking advantage of this Bogo deal as well? Let us know down in the comments below.
