In this week’s edition of Thirsty Thursday we are spotlighting some non-alcoholic beverages that include a new flavor of an Agua Fresca, a new ready-to-drink canned coffee and a relaxing line of kombucha. All three of these drinks are perfect for sipping when you want something fun and different without the booze.

Minute Maid Agua Frescas Pineapple Horchata

Minute Maid is a household name in beverages. Founded in 1945, the company originally named Florida Foods now has over 100 different flavors and varieties of juice and drinks. I grew up drinking Minute Maid orange juice and now I buy Minute Maid lemonades and juices for my teens.

In March of 2022, the company launched their Agua Frescas line. According to Minute Maid, these Latin American-inspired juices offer a “refreshing AF twist on juice with a unique, bold taste.” Yes, the younger demographic they’re targeting recognizes that the ‘Refreshing AF’ slogan is supposed to have couple of meanings. The beverage line is available in 12 oz. cans and chilled 52 oz. multi-serve bottles.

In this edition of Thirsty Thursday we are highlighting some non-alcoholic beverages!

Minute Maid recently announced the release of a new flavor to the line: Pineapple Horchata. This flavor is currently available in 52 oz. sized multi-serve bottles and is a “twist on the traditional sweet and creamy flavor of horchata with a touch of tangy pineapple flavor.” It joins hibiscus and strawberry in the chilled, multi-serve line and can be purchased at stores throughout the country.

I look forward to trying all the juices in the Agua Frescas line. I imagine that the new Pineapple Horchata is a sweet and refreshing drink. The name alone makes me think of summer and I hope to be sipping a cold, refreshing glass soon.

Dunkin’ Iced Coffee Bakery Series

Dunkin’ recently launched a new line of canned, ready-to-drink iced coffee beverages that I can’t wait to try! The Dunkin’ Iced Coffee Bakery Series is inspired by some of their most popular baked goods. The three flavors in this line include: Brownie Batter Donut, Cake Batter Donut and Coffee Cake Muffin.

The Brownie Batter Donut is perfect for chocolate lovers. The Cake Batter Donut has flavors of vanilla cake in drink form and the Coffee Cake Muffin iced coffee has hints of cinnamon. These sound like a delicious treat when you need a little pick-me-up and want something sweet.

The drinks are made with Arabica coffee blends, real milk and sugar. All three flavors come in 11 ounce cans that are perfect for grabbing and taking on the go.

KeVita Herbal Spritzers

While kombucha is not new to the drink space, fans of the beverage may want to check out the KeVita Herbal Spritzer line. Filled with probiotics, these beverages are not only beneficial to gut health, but they come in light and refreshing flavors. There are three different flavors in the relaxation-based line: Serene (Chamomile Lavender), Harmony (Peach Elderflower) and Refresh (Orange Sage).

Serene contains 80 mg of magnesium. This mineral has the potential benefits of improving sleep and reducing depression and anxiety. Harmony and Refresh both contain 100%  of your daily dose of Vitamin C. These spritzers are delicious on their own but also make great mocktails and KeVita has recipes on their website.

KeVita Herbal Spritzers are lightly sparkling and are fermented with water kefir. They contain only 4 grams of sugar per bottle. They retail for $3.99 and can be purchased at most Whole Foods and Target stores throughout the country.
