Damaris Phillips shares her easy s’mores hack using Peeps
Spring is around the corner and that means Easter is almost here too! And that means that Peeps season has officially arrived.
When it comes to Peeps, it is hard to deny that they might just be one of the best sweet treats of Easter. But at the same time, sometimes we want to have some fun with our favorites. And if there is one thing we love more than a sweet treat, it would be a foodie hack that utilizes one of our favorite things.
Luckily for us and our hack loving hearts, we have Chef Damaris Phillips to share one of her “vital life hacks.” And yes, it revolves around using Peeps to make s’mores.
Perhaps the best thing about this particular hack is just how easy it is. And not only that, but also how accessible it is for so many of us.
Make Peeps S’mores with this foodie life hack from Damaris Phillips
Over on Instagram, Chef Phillips shared that there are just two steps needed and two ingredients needed to make a delicious s’mores treat. So what do you need? And what do you do?
All you need is chocolate dipped Peeps (she used yellow chicks that have their bottoms dipped in milk chocolate) and graham crackers, as well as a toaster oven. It really is as easy as putting down a few graham crackers and topping them with your chocolate dipped Peeps, then putting them in the toaster oven for about three minutes (based on the video posted to her Instagram account which you can see here, it looks like her toaster oven is set to 400 degrees).
Once you pull the toasted Peeps out of the toaster oven, you will take a second graham cracker and push it down on top of the other cracker with the warmed chocolate dipped chick. It is that easy and that quick. And based on the reaction from Damaris Phillips when she bites into her Peeps S’more, this is also a delicious treat for anyone who loves a toasty s’more as a snack.
We love a good foodie hack, and this is definitely one we can’t wait to try for ourselves. Now we just need to get our hands on some chocolate dipped Peeps (you can find them at the PeepsandCompany.com website).
What do you think fellow foodies? Are you going to give this hack a try?
