My/Mochi adds Ube to their ice cream lineup

If you have never tried mochi, what are you waiting for? With My/Mochi, you get to try a wide range of classic flavors and beyond. Not only do they have classic ice cream flavors in between a pillowy soft, rice dough, but they also have flavors that you may not recognize. That is because they are all about innovation and bringing international flavors to your every day snacking.

For anyone unfamiliar with what mochi is, let me break it down for you. It is a soft rice dough that can be sweetened and in some cases can be a savory treat as well. It is like a sticky rice cake that typically takes on the flavor of whatever is stuffed into the middle of it. In this case, that would be the ice cream that My/Mochi is adding to the mix.

Recently, we learned that the brand would be launching a variety of new products and flavors. In particular they are adding new flavors of ice cream to the lineup. So what are the flavors that they are adding to the mix? Not only did they add a coffee ice cream, but there is also a passionfruit ice cream, and the flavor that we are the most excited about would be the Ube.

Over the years, there have been a few flavors of mochi that I have fallen in love with. At the top of the list is green tea ice cream mochi and mango mochi. They have been absolute winners every single time I’ve had them. And another flavor that I have loved is Ube, also known as purple yam. But it is so rare for me to find it in an ice cream dessert that when we learned that My/Mochi was going to be releasing this flavor, I was ecstatic.

After getting a chance to try the Ube flavor, I have to say this might be one of my favorite additions to their lineup. It isn’t too sweet, but it still satisfies the sweet tooth.

Honestly, it’s a very mellow flavor, but it just works. And I have to admit there is something visually stunning about the color of purple that this flavor delivers. Not only is it a great addition to the My/Mochi family, but it is absolutely a perfect bite of ice cream. For anyone looking for something sweet and mellow at the end of a long day, the Ube ice cream flavor from My/Mochi is a must try and a must buy.
