Kellogg’s Rice Krispies gets a fruity makeover
When it comes to breakfast foods, cereal is one of the easiest options on the market. And Kellogg’s is definitely a go-to option for a wide variety of flavors.
Perhaps one of the most iconic cereals in the Kellogg’s family would have to be their Rice Krispies. The Snap, Crackle, and Pop cereal is probably one of the best cereals on the market and one that even has a devoted following thanks to Rice Krispy Treats!
So is it any surprise that Kellogg’s has decided to expand their Rice Krispies by offering a new, fruity flavor? Honestly, we are more surprised that this didn’t happen sooner!
Introducing the new Rainbow Krispies! This new fruity cereal still gives us all the Snap, Crackle, and Pop we love from the original but in a new shape and flavor that is exciting and bold.
Kellogg’s unveils their new Rainbow Krispies, a fruity take on Rice Krispies
The new fruity flavor has a lot going for it, including eight grams of whole grains in every serving and 20 percent of our daily dose of Vitamin D. But that’s not what has us excited (I mean it is, but also we are here for the fruit flavors). We love the fact that we have a new fruity cereal to fall in love with!
We got the chance to try this new addition to the Kellogg’s cereal family and we are in love. Not only do the colors pop, but when you first open the box, it actually smells like fruity candy in a box. The cereal itself is like tiny cups and when it comes to the taste it absolutely tastes like fruit. (It reminds me a lot of Froot Loops, which makes sense since they are from the same company.)
If you eat it dry, the Rainbow Krispies pops with fruity flavors, whereas when you add it to milk it actually brings out a more lemony flavor with hints of berries. Honestly, it’s a great cereal and perfect for fans of both Rice Krispies and classic, fruity cereals.
When it comes to making cereal right, Kellogg’s knows what they are doing and we can’t wait to use the Rainbow Krispies to whip up a fruity take on Rice Krispies Treats (and yes, they give us the recipe for them on the side of the box too).
