The top 10 menu items to hit at Wahlburgers
Wahlburgers hit the scene 12 years ago and since then has expanded to 90 plus locations around the world, according to Wikipedia.
The restaurant chain has become a definitive hot spot to eat a burger and a plethora of other menu options, and although the food is spectacular indeed, the fact that the restaurant was launched and is owned by the Wahlberg family certainly helped matters in growing its popularity.
Actor and entrepreneur Mark Wahlberg, singer songwriter and actor Donnie Wahlberg, and Chef Paul Wahlberg, decided to open up the restaurant at first because of Paul’s passion for food and the food industry, but expanding was indeed in the cards, especially when you add Mark into the mix.
The man is building an empire the likes that can rival perhaps even Rockefeller’s empire, and that’s saying something.

To help matters, A&E launched a reality show based on the restaurant and its expansion over the years, and the trials and tribulations of the family as the restaurant grew and grew and grew….
The show ran for ten seasons and featured a cast of real life characters that helped the brothers Wahlberg along in the journey, and none more instrumental than the matriarch of the Wahlberg family, Alma, who sadly passed away in April of 2021.
The legacy of her life’s work lives on in her family and in the dynasty each of them had a part in building, and their legacy lives still in every single Wahlburgers location…each of them were built on the family’s love for food that came from the Wahlberg family table that often consisted of very cheap food, but made an impression on a few boys that would eventually take over the world. Wahlburgers is a testament to her legacy and now theirs.
If you’ve never eaten at a Wahlburgers location then you are missing out on something extraordinarily delicious. At Wahlburgers you get that steakhouse feel but with a more inviting atmosphere…and the food is delicious and not too pretentious.
10. Spincach & Parmesan Wahlbites
These are pretty self-explanatory and really for a starter they set the meal off right. What can go wrong here, really? The parmesan in these gives you that explosion of salt needed and to whet the appetite before the start of a great meal; the additional shining point here is the dipping sauce—honey garlic.
9. Sweet Chili Glaze Tenders
And talk about sweet sauces! Now as far as finger bar food goes, you can’t have a menu that’s missing chicken tendies, folks. They’re a must on any menu if you ask this writer, and Wahlburgers does them justice for sure. They’re sautéed in a wonderful chili glaze that takes these over the top.
8. Cobb Salad
Like the tendies above, a Cobb Salad is my absolute favorite salad, and I believe should be on every menu. I’ve tried this here salad at any establishment that’s intelligent enough to serve this classic and give it a go.
Wahlburgers not only scores points for having it on their menu, but Chef Paul deserves extra points for making one of the most delicious I’ve ever had the pleasure of trying.
Complete with a variety of greens, cherry tomatoes, slices of avocado, hardboiled egg, some bacon of course (nice and crispy), marinated grilled chicken and the piece de resistance, blue cheese!
7. Bacon Mac ‘N Cheese
Absolutely everything is better with the addition of bacon. A cliché that has been overused in food writing and I’ll use it here absolutely without any ounce of shame.
It’s deserved, and really, mac and cheese is delicious on its own, but add a wee bit of bacon and the classic is taken to the moon. Here though, you get penne and not elbow pasta. It’s classified on the menu as one of Mom’s favorites, so you know it’s good.
6. Chorizo Jam Burger
This one here is an absolute whopping meal in and of itself. It’s a lot to ingest, but if you can take it or are starving, this one’s for you.
A gorgeous burger is topped with a chorizo agave jam that is out of this world, a delicious chipotle aioli, lettuce, jalapenos, and crispy onions; you cannot go wrong with this one.
5. OFD
Originally From Dorchestah! If you love Swiss cheese burgers with sautéed mushrooms, you can’t miss with this one either. Complete with two patties of beef and yes…bacon!
4. The Super Melt
A good melt sure hits the spot on a tough day and they do a melt, a classic melt, extremely well at Wahlburgers. Like a classic melt, it’s served on sliced bread.
The caramelized onions here with the patties and melted government cheese add multiple layers of flavor that differentiates it from the other burgers on the menu.
3. Crispy Fish Sandwich
Now they’re not all about just the burgers despite their name, as their crispy fish sandwich goes a long way in the flavor department. How do you account for McDonald’s success with the Filet-O-Fish sandwich? Everybody wants another option, and here Wahlburgers offers you a delicious one.
2. Kale & Brussels Sprout Slaw
If you’re like me, then the same run-of-the-mill stuff can get a tad boring. Slaw is slaw, and yeah a great slaw goes good with BBQ chicken or even fried chicken, but I like variety and I like when chefs come up with different takes on a classic dish, and as with the Cobb Salad above, the slaw at Wahlburgers takes the cake as perhaps being the best, most inventive original slaw around.
1. The Impossible Burger
Yes, it’s a vegan burger, but before you scoff, not all vegan burgers are terrible. In fact I’ve tasted great ones before and this one at Wahlburgers is definitely at the top of the list. You don’t at all have to be a vegetarian to love this one, as the flavor components are definitely there.
And besides, the website boasts it as ‘Mark’s Choice’ and really, does Mark look like a guy we shouldn’t be taking advice from? I didn’t think so, dear readers.
They also have a wide array of desserts, shakes and a wine list that rivals that of the lists you can find at a fine dining establishment.
