Is It Cake? season 2 headed to Netflix this summer

The first season of Is It Cake? hit Netflix on March 18, 2022 and while the renewal news has been out for a while, there has been no news on when the next season was headed to the streaming service. But that has changed. The season 2 release date came out and it’s much sooner than anyone could have expected.

For those that missed the first season, the show is based on the very popular social media trend. Bakers were tasked with making different objects out of cake and they had to make them so believable that a group of judges would be stumped by whether it was cake or not. And if the judges looked at a collection of seemingly similar objects and couldn’t spot the one that was cake, the baker who made the cake won some money.

It was a brilliant show filled with unexpected camaraderie, fun, and, of course, cake! The host was Mikey Day and he will be returning to host for season 2.

But when is season 2 coming out? When can you expect to watch the new season of the sweet baking completion?

Season 2 of Is It Cake? is headed to Netflix on Friday, June 30, 2023. The eight-episode show will release all its episodes at once so you can binge it to your heart’s content.

It will be interesting to see what objects the bakers have to recreate out of cake, how the bakers interact with each other, and who the judges are this season. Whatever they make, it’s sure to be extraordinary! Last season’s bakers’ attention to detail was amazing.
