When it comes to restaurants, Dallas, Texas has a lot to offer. Not only do they have a wide range of cuisines to choose from, but they even have places specifically dedicated to sweet treats.

And if you have a sweet tooth, that can be a great thing. Whether you like pies and cakes, or candy and beignets, there is some thing for everyone.

Having lived in Dallas for a number of years, I am always looking for great places to stop and satisfy my sweet tooth. And if you are heading to Dallas and want to find a delicious dessert or a sweet treat to satisfy your cravings with, here are five places you should check out at least once.

3 Places in Dallas to check when you want a sweet treat

Emporium Pies – If you love pie, then you need to check out Emporium pies in Dallas. They have locations in the Bishop Arts District and in Deep Ellum, plus McKinney and Fort Worth. All of their locations offer more than one pie that you can fall in love with, including apple pie, blueberry pie, and even a Key lime pie. They are not your average pie, however. We are talking about next level desserts that take pie to a whole new level of deliciousness.

Le Bon Temp Beignets – Located in Deep Ellum, this little tiny shop will transport you to the heart of New Orleans. Not only do they have classic beignets and mini beignet bites, but you can also get a variety of toppings and flavors. Love Nutella on your beignets? They have you covered. And honestly, this might be the perfect Guilty Eats of all, because it really feels like taking a vacation with every bite. When we had the chance to check them out for ourselves, we made sure we got a bag of six beignets coated in powdered sugar. After all, you can never go wrong with a classic.

Village Baking Co (Boulangerie) – Honestly, this one is a bit tricky. Technically, Village Baking Co is known for their breads and yeasted doughs. However, if you have ever visited one of their locations, then you know they also have tarts and tartlets, sweet breads, eclairs, scones, financiers, Cakes, cookies, and a wide range of sweet treats that are hard to resist. This might just be one of my favorite bakeries in the city and I used to love walking to their Lower Greenville location and just trying something new every week. The fact that they have three locations in the city also means that they are available to a wider audience, which is always nice.

There are so many options when it comes to sweet treats in Dallas, Texas. And there are so many different types of desserts that we could focus on, including ice cream, candy, and cakes. But these three options definitely give you a variety when it comes to desserts you may love. So if you love pie, beignets, or baked treats, these three options are a must try in Dallas.
