It was about nine months ago that we here at your favorite foodie blog revealed that Taco Bell had decided to return the Grilled Cheese Burrito to their menu for a limited time. And while there was much celebrating, it was short lived.

See, the key word was “limited” as in it won’t be around forever. And when you’re dealing with a fast food item that takes everything you love about a grilled cheese sandwich and puts it into burrito form, there are going to be some disappointed folks out there.

Well, the big brains at The Bell heard your cries. They read your social media posts and heard how you lamented the loss, once again, of the Grilled Cheese Burrito from your lives. And they decided to do something about it.

The Grilled Cheese Burrito is back at your local Taco Bell for good.

Taco Bell has announced that the Grilled Cheese Burrito is back on the menu. But that’s not all. It is now a permanent menu item. As in, it won’t be disappearing in a month to never be seen again. You’ll be able to get one today, tomorrow, next month or even next year.

For those that need a quick refresher on the greatness of the Grilled Cheese Burrito, it includes your choice of seasoned beef, chicken or black beans as well as nacho cheese sauce, seasoned rice, chipotle sauce, sour cream, fiesta strips and a three-cheese blend all wrapped in a warm tortilla.

All you need is a bowl of warm tomato soup and it would feel exactly like a winter day when you were a kid and off from school.

This is normally where I tell you that you better hurry because (insert fast food item here) will only be around for a limited time. But not this time. Get one whenever you want because the Grilled Cheese Burrito ain’t going anywhere.
