McDonald’s adds new Grimace birthday meal and shake

McDonald’s was the place to be if you were celebrating your birthday as a kid. The play place and all of the fun mascots including Grimace were part of the charm.

While Grimace has become a thing of the past, McDonald’s is ensuring he isn’t completely forgotten. The brand is bringing him back for a very special promotion in June, which is amazing.

Starting on June 12th, you can start the celebration of Grimace’s birthday. That big purple guy might not be someone we see very often anymore, but it’s nice to be able to celebrate him and the fast-food chain is making things special for all of us.

Whether you’re a new fan of Grimace or remember him from back in the day, it’s awesome to see a new Grimace meal and Grimace Shake coming to the Golden Arches this summer.

McDonald’s adds new items for Grimace’s birthday this summer.

To kick off Grimace’s birthday, McDonald’s is adding some new items to help celebrate his special day. The first is a Grimace Birthday Meal. I mean everyone loves a good birthday meal and Grimace is giving us options. You can either get a Big Mac or a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets with a medium order of fries and a Grimace Shake.

Oh yeah, that’s the other special item being added for Grimace’s special day. To match Grimace, the shake is purple just like him although the brand has yet to release the flavor but that’s not the only thing happening for Grimace’s birthday this year.

McDonald’s is also launching a new video game in partnership with Krool Toys which follows Grimace as he meets his pals and tries to cut his birthday cake. You can start downloading it for your desktop or as a mobile game on June 12th. If that wasn’t enough, there’s also going to be a line of Grimace merch also available on June 12th.

If you’re looking to get a “gift” for Grimace, McDonald’s shared that donating to the Ronald McDonald House Charities is a good way to show your support. The fast-food chain also shared that “From June 13 – 14, fans can visit McDonald’s Instagram story and share a picture of their favorite birthday memory via the “add yours” sticker. For every picture shared, we’ll donate $5 to RMHC up to $200k.” If that doesn’t make you want to post on Instagram, nothing will especially if it’s for Grimace.

Either way, I feel like this is such a fun idea by McDonald’s and I hope they decide to do this for other beloved McDonald’s characters in the future. I can confidently say I’d love to see a Hamburglar meal eventually. Nevertheless, you can start enjoying the Grimace meal on June 12th.
