The third week of Crime Scene Kitchen Season 2 has just come to a close, and boy this one definitely stumped many, especially on the Elimination Bake side of things. It’s always fun to look back on episodes of shows like this because it’s fun to see what you thought of something as it was happening and watching along with it. There is certainly no other show like it: it’s got elements of being a detective and delicious desserts. So with all of that being said, let’s dive right into the thick of it all!
If you enjoy Crime Scene Kitchen, then be sure to tune in each week, starting at 8 pm EST, where we will see some mysterious treats being made by some of America’s best bakers!
Are you ready? Let’s go!
Crime Scene Kitchen combines mystery and baking! Let’s see what’s in store!
In case you missed week or season one, here’s the premise of the show: each week there are two challenges. In both challenges, before the baking actually begins, each team has a chance to ‘investigate’ the kitchen. There are dirty dishes, used utensils, things in the fridge, and definitely some things to fool you (a few this week) and throw you off guard just a bit.
In week one, we first met the self-taught bakers. In week two, we first met the professional trained bakers. For this week, in week 3, we were back with the self-taught bakers!
In the third episode of Crime Scene Kitchen, the Safety Bake had the following clues:
- Recipe cards on the counter
- “Bake the brownies that you can” note/to-do list
- 2 different square pans drying
- “Groups” on ingredients out: (1) mint extract, creme de menthe, and cream cheese (2) oats, cinnamon, and ground coffee
- Pecans on the counter *decoy*
- Eggs on the counter
- “Decoy” recipe cards to “figure out” from to-do list “instructions”
- Macadamia nuts *decoy*
- Caramel *decoy*
Stop! Before you read ahead, what do you think this mystery dessert could be?
Here’s what each team made, based off of the clues that each team saw in the Crime Scene Kitchen:

What are your thoughts on episode three of Crime Scene Kitchen, Season 2? Also: what’s your ultimate favorite flavor of Cheesecake? For me, any sort of desserts with white chocolate or blueberry are the best, but you can literally never go wrong with a caramel sauce! Oreo Cheesecake is always a winner as well, but keep in mind that there’s absolutely nothing wrong with a good old fashioned plain cheesecake – sometimes that’s truly all that you need!
