Are you looking for a next level dining experience this summer? Are you planning a trip to the Bahamas? Then Baha Mar is the perfect destination for all the sun, surf, sand, and food you could want.

We here at Guilty Eats had the chance to attend the First Annual Culinary & Arts Festival in 2022 (and clearly we are still talking about it), which took place at Baha Mar. It was a chance to experience not only the Bahamas, but also amazing culinary experiences.

And one of the things that stood out for us was the fact that there was truly something for everyone at Baha Mar, especially when it comes to the food. Not only are there any number of cuisines to choose from when you stay at Baha Mar, but you feel like family.

One of my favorite parts about getting to experience Baha Mar for the first time (and hopefully not the last) was the fact that the food was next level. In fact, if you are a foodie, this has to be one of your destinations when visiting the Bahamas.

I didn’t even get the chance to try all of the amazing dining options available at Baha Mar, but every single restaurant I did try was an out of this world experience. In some cases the food was transcendent. And that means I have some suggestions for you if you are planning a summer trip to Baha Mar.

4 restaurants you have to try at Baha Mar at least once

  • Marcus at Baha Mar: Fish + Chop House – If you are a fan of Marcus Samuelsson (like I am), then this was probably already on your must try list. But I can confirm that, this is a dining experience you won’t want to miss. The flavors of every dish are vibrant and fresh, with dishes that are unforgettable. There is also something to be said about food that makes your taste buds sing. (And the views are not to be missed either, as this is a beachside restaurant.) From Macus’s Cornbread and Conch Croquettes to the Catch of the Day or the Downtown Jerk Chicken, every single item on the menu packs a delicious punch. And you may find yourself with entirely new foodie favorites after an experience at Marcus.
  • Cleo – I am a big fan of Mediterranean food, so I was thrilled when I had a chance to dine at Cleo while I was at Baha Mar. And let me just say, this restaurant does not disappoint. I think  I fell in love with the ambiance first and then the dishes started arriving at the table and I could not have been more excited to see things like Feta & Lebaneh, hummus, the Moroccan Lamb and more, hit the table. I was part of a group dinner and we did a lot of sharing, which was amazing as it let us all get a real feel for what the restaurant had to offer. All of the flavors popped, and honestly I would revisit Cleo in a heartbeat.
  •  Da’ Poke Bowl – If you are a guest of Baha Mar and you are looking for a more lowkey dining experience, then this is the one for you. I had the opportunity to enjoy a meal here on my final day at the resort and I have to say, it was worth every bite. Not only was everything fresh and vibrant, but there were a surprising amount of options considering you are basically ordering (and most likely dining) at a beachside shack. It was everything I wanted in a lowkey dining experience and so much more. I got to enjoy the sound of the beach, the sun overhead, and a delicious meal. What’s not to love.
  • 25 North – This was my first meal upon arriving at Baha Mar and I have to say it was a great introduction to the islands and the resort itself. We are talking about a menu that features seasonal products with a California vibe to them. We enjoyed tacos and sushi here, as well as their crispy rice. Every bite was an experience and one I highly recommend. And considering this menu thrives on seasonality, you know that everything you eat will be fresh and delicious, full of amazing flavors and unique island vibes.

Honestly, I could wax poetic about every dish I ate and every menu I poured over, but the best way to experience Baha Mar for yourself is to go there. And this summer, we think you’ll find a little something for everyone thanks to their unique dining options, gorgeous beaches, and stunning accommodations.
