While people enjoy a staycation, others enjoy traveling. If you’re the latter, then you’ll be happy to know Minnesota has some great options for traveling foodies.

I don’t know about you, but I love going to a new place and trying out the food. You can get an idea of how a city or state is just by the food.

Thankfully, Minnesota has a lot of exciting options to pick from. Whether you’re looking for dinner and a show or want to go on a self-guided tour, the state has many options.

If you’re looking for something to do on vacation in the state, we’ve got a few options for my fellow foodies to enjoy while spending time in Minnesota.

Minnesota has some fun and quirky foodie attractions for travelers.

Let’s start with something most everyone loves and that’s pizza. The state has its Pizza Party Express which is a train ride around Minnesota and during the ride, you’re able to enjoy some food, drinks, and snacks. While enjoying Lake Superior’s sights, you can eat a pan pizza from Domino’s and treats of all kinds.

I don’t know about you, but the Pizza Party Express sounds like it’s right up my nephew’s alley as he loves pizza and trains. If you’re not crazy about trains though, you can visit a pizza farm.

Essentially, it’s a way to enjoy your pizza along with some homegrown ingredients such as mushrooms and even fresh pesto. If you’re headed to a pizza farm, we recommend either Two Pony Farms or the Red Barn Farm which should give you everything you’re looking for.

You might not be traveling to Minnesota for pizza, but maybe ice cream is more your scene. You can even apply for your Ice Cream Passport which is a guide to some of the best ice cream spots within the Great Lakes. Some of the places you might want to visit are the Historic Moorhead Dairy Queen or Breakers.

If you’re looking for some more adult fun, then a Booze & Brews Passport could have your name written all over it. Known as the MN Sips Passport, you’re able to get some great deals from local breweries and wineries including Castle Danger and Urban Growler Brewing Co. As you can see, there is something for foodies of all types.

Traveling to Minnesota might seem less daunting now that you know some of the fun and delicious offerings there are. I might even book myself a ticket there just to try the Pizza Party Express. Either way, I’d love to know where you’re headed on vacation.
