We are three episodes into Season 26 of Worst Cooks in America and for this challenge it is all about a date night showdown.

As the episode premieres, we learn that the Blue Team is down a player because Michael is out of the Worst Cooks in America competition for medical reasons. And that means that it is a Red Team elimination only.

To kick off this week’s lessons, it is time for a Date Night Showdown challenge. There will be date night events, with a heart on the line. The winning team will have the most hearts at the end and that will give that team an advantage in the skill drill challenge.

Ultimately, the Red Team wins the challenge and gets an advantage in the skill drill. Specifically, they will get all of their ingredients ready to go at their station.

So what is this week’s skill drill challenge? It is all about making sushi!

For the Red Team, Chef Anne is showing them how to make a Shrimp Tempura Roll & Tuna Nigiri with Pickled Jalapeno. The Blue Team is being shown a Sweet Potato Tempura Roll with a Salmon Nigiri Roll by Chef Jeff.

The chefs have 45 minutes to make both of the rolls they learned and the two Nigiris. Basically, all the cooks have to make the exact same thing no matter which team they are on.

So how did the cooks do for the skill drill challenge this week? Terri won on the Red Team and Jessica won on the Blue Team. And while they have the chance to “recouple,” Jessica chooses to stay with Kermit, while Terri ditches Charles for Etherio.

For the main dish challenge, the teams are making hand pulled noodles and lobsters! On the Red Team they will be making, Pulled Noodles with Lobster & Chinese Broccoli. Over on the Blue Team, the cooks will be making Pulled Noodles with Lobster & Mushrooms.

The fact that these cooks have to actually “kill” their own lobsters is definitely a challenge. In fact, there is some serious drama in the kitchen over these lobsters. But we are still here for it. Also the pulled noodles were a fascinating challenge for these cooks as well.

This is was a great challenge for a lot of reasons, but we also have to point out that someone on the Red Team is going home at the end. So which cook is saying goodbye to Worst Cooks in America?

Sadly, the member of the Red Team heading home is Denz.
