Back-to-school season can be stressful for everyone. That’s why it’s nice to have some mainstays in our cupboard when it comes to snacks.
While this entire list isn’t going to be snacks, most of them are, so consider this a blanket statement rather than facts. With that being said, I wanted to include some exciting products that will make going back to school easier.
For most kids, it’s less about the snacks and more about homework and getting up early plaguing them. Regardless, there is always something nice about heading back to school and seeing a small treat in your lunchbox or enjoying something after school.
Whether you’re a teacher who is a foodie, are packing for little foodies, or have a high-school-aged foodie in your life, then these snacks are going to be your saving grace when the year truly kicks off.
Need some snacks for back to school? This list will make shopping a lot easier!
No back-to-school list is complete without breakfast items. Whether you’re throwing something together in the morning or just need something on the way out, there are plenty of different routes you can go down so let’s break down a few options for some easy breakfast meals.
1. Just Crack an Egg
When it comes to easy breakfast, nothing is easier than using Kraft-Heinz’s Just Crack an Egg. I mean the instructions are in the name. All of the ingredients come separately so you can mix all your favorites with an egg, pop them in the microwave, and go. Honestly, I don’t think you can go wrong with this one especially if you’re trying to save time in the mornings. These could also make great after-school snacks, too.
2. Catalina Crunch -Pairings
Moving onto another breakfast staple, you can’t go wrong with some cereal in the mornings and Catalina Crunch just added a new line. You can enjoy two new flavors from the brand which are Blueberry Muffin Cereal with Whole Blueberries and Honey Nut Cereal with Roasted Almond. With no added sugar and 10 grams of protein per serving, this will hopefully keep the littles from bouncing off the walls for school.
Cereal has always been part of the back-to-school routine for so many but sometimes, you want to mix it up. That’s why Catalina Crunch had to make the list.
3. Stonyfield Organic
The next option can be used for breakfast or snacks. Regardless of which camp you fall under, these Stonyfield Organic yogurts are a crowd-pleaser. Made with good ingredients and good for you, these yogurt pouches are easy for those on the go. Plus you can’t go wrong with adding one into your lunchbox.
These might be marketed towards kids, but sometimes it’s nice to have something for you that they don’t have to know about. Some of the flavors include Strawberry Beet Berry, Blueberry, and just plain vanilla for those looking for something simple. Regardless, these are great for breakfast, lunch, or even, an after-school snack.
4. Welch’s Color Your World Mixed Fruit Snacks
Next on the list is a classic when it comes to lunchbox favorites and that’s fruit snacks. While Welch’s Fruit Snacks are good, I had to include these “Color Your World” packs. Whether you’re working on this with your littles or are allowing them to have all the fun, you can color the box with crayons and colored pencils. This might be that extra push to remind some to color inside the lines which isn’t a bad reminder. These come in 40-count boxes which is pretty darn amazing.
5. Try something new with Lay’s Flavor Swap Program
Everyone loves getting chips in their lunchbox, no matter what age they are. That’s why these new Lay’s Flavor Swap chips are a must. Of course, the major contender from the group is the All Dressed Flavor which is a Canadian staple. Due to that, I’m sure kids will get a kick out of sharing these or at least, getting others to try them.
In addition, you can also get some of your other favorite chip flavors but in different forms. You can get a version of Cheetos, Cool Ranch Doritos, and Funyuns as part of the lineup. Regardless if you’re a newbie to these or just need a quick after-school snack, these are awesome.
6. Need a savory after-school snack? Can’t go wrong with Kraft Mac & Cheese.
Sometimes, you just need some macaroni and cheese. You truly can’t go wrong with the iconic blue Kraft box. Whether you’re popping it in the microwave after a long day or are using it as a side dish for supper, Kraft Mac & Cheese is a must. Super simple and tasty to boot, this is less of a snack and more of something to help take the edge off. Joking aside, I don’t think I need to sell this one to students or parents alike.
7. Delimex is another easy yet tasty after-school snack.
Delimex knows what they’re doing and these taquitos are so delicious. Whether you’re dealing with a picky eater or need something quick before practice, these are filling. They come in all different flavors from Chicken and Cheese to Beef and Cheese along with just Beef and Chicken but they’re all so good. I can attest as someone who has tried them all, these are amazing.
They’re also super quick to either throw in the microwave or air fryer. You won’t regret grabbing a box or two on your next shopping trip.
8. Totino’s adds a unique new flavor for the gaming student.
Next up in back-to-school snacks is a classic and that’s Totino’s Pizza Rolls. However, this is a new flavor to the brand’s lineup and that’s Orange Chicken Pizza Rolls. Yes, you heard that right, it’s orange chicken pizza rolls. With the classic outer shell of the pizza roll, these are filled with tangy chicken in a sweet and sour sauce. All in all, it sounds like a fun one for pizza roll fans and something new to add to the snack rotation.
9. Looking for a fun fall treat? Little Bites Pumpkin Muffins are back!
Moving onto another treat that’s perfect for any time of day, Little Bites is back again with its Pumpkin Muffins. Little Bites is always killing it when it comes to tasty and sweet treats including these pumpkin muffins. These are limited-edition so if you want to grab them, make sure you do soon before they’re gone for another year. While we probably won’t see that happen until closer to October, you can never be too careful!
10. Let’s finish off the list with an Eggo Grab & Go.
Last but not least, we’re at the final back-to-school snack and I wanted to feature something for any time of day. That’s why I decided to go with the Eggo Grab & Go. While the one featured above is the Vanilla Bean flavor, you can also grab these in Strawberry and Buttery Maple. These are great for throwing in your bag as a snack, heating one for breakfast, or enjoying one as a quick after-school snack. Regardless, you can’t go wrong with Eggo no matter what time it is.
There are so many great products for back to school and when you’re feeding a foodie, sometimes it can be challenging. Whether you try out these products or not, it’s always nice to have options and to see what’s out there.
What do you think, Guilty Eaters? Will you be trying out any of these products?
