Top 7 Bonefish Grill menu items to try
The Bonefish Grill has been around since the new century and millennium began. It first opened its doors, letting that wonderful seafood aroma out into the streets in 2000.
Tim Curci and Chris Parker are the people behind the restaurant that would over the 23 years grow and flourish into a top casual dining restaurant chain with 181 locations as per a 2022 census, and they earned an impressive 619 million in revenue as of 2017.
Not too shabby, especially considering that Red Lobster pretty much dominated the scene for seafood related restaurants for the last few decades and prior to the Bonefish Grill’s inception.
But what are some of the better dishes to try at Bonefish Grill?
At the end of the day, the proof is in the pudding as the old expression goes, and their pudding is delicious, folks. They have pretty much always been open for dinner, but in many markets they are trying out lunch options and seemingly brunch as per their menu, and as it states on Wikipedia.
But let’s not dawdle. Let’s get to the aforementioned pudding, which in this case are some pretty delicious seafood dishes you’re not likely to forget about.
7. Bang Bang Shrimp
For a starter this one definitely gets the ball rolling for quite a dinner. The shrimp is crispy and the sauce they’re tossed in is absolutely the perfect touch. The only problem with these is you’ll want to keep dipping your fingers in for more, and if you’re sharing, I feel bad for you.
6. Chicken & Shrimp Dish
For those of you that read my work, dear readers, you know just how much a great surf and turf dish means to me. I try it on any menu I have the pleasure of sampling, and I like it when things are done a tad different, and although they do have a classic surf and turf dish (more on that later), the different meat selection here most definitely works.
Shrimp and chicken go extremely well together; sometimes in the very same dish of sautéed pasta or rice, but in this case it works very well too.
And by the way, for those aforementioned readers of my work, thanks for reading; it sure means a lot.
5. Maryland Style Crab Cakes
You cannot go wrong with crab cakes. They’re simple if you know what you’re doing, and if you really know what you’re doing, like the great people at the Bonefish Grill, then they’re delicious. The red rémoulade sauce is just a tremendous addition to go along with the great-as-they-are cakes.
Crab cakes are a great way to start a meal, and much like the shrimp above, perhaps try to convince your dining partner(s) to get their own. “Joey doesn’t share food!”
4. Bacon Mac & Cheese
Okay, okay…I know it’s only a side, but it has to take a spot on this list. After all, we are talking about all menu items, and this side should not be missed when given your choice. Really well done and hey, Mac and cheese goes with everything, especially when you add a wee bit o’ bacon to the mix.
3. Sirloin & Crab Cake
Now if you’re really a fan of the above-mentioned crab cakes, well they’re featured on an epic main dish served at the restaurant. The sirloin steak is really well prepared and heck, you get a second dose of those delicious crab cakes if you dare. I would.
2. Florida Cobb Salad
Sometimes a large salad with almost everything in it really hits the spot. It’s fresh and accompanied with a delicious glass of iced tea or two, it makes for the perfect warm weather meal. The Cobb Salad over at the Bonefish Grill is delicious and they really make it well. Worth ordering for sure.
1. Filet and Lobster Tail
I had to go with the classic surf and turf. The filet of tenderloin is delicious, perfectly cooked and tender. The lobster tail is like it should be and the seasonings are spot on here, as well as the preparation of the dish.
They have an exceptional wine list and they have some great mixed drinks and cocktails to try, you know, if the day has been a tad too long and hard. They’ve got your back. Just make sure you have a designated driver.
In the end, they have a lot of great menu items and we can’t choose them all as top ones, but what do you think are some of the best menu items at the Bonefish Grill, dear readers? Let us know.
