Episode 4 of Worst Cooks in America is here and with it, some more sad news as the red team is down a member. Moving forward, Charles is out of the competition due to health reasons.

So what did this mean for this episode? It’s a blue team only elimination week on Worst Cooks of America.

To kick things off, our teams take on The Bagelorette where they are blindfolded and have to lick and chomp on dangling bagels. They have to identify the flavors of cream cheese spread on each bagel. In the end, the blue team wins the skill drill pre-challenge. By winning they get an extra basket of indulgent breakfast/brunch ingredients that the other team can’t use.

So what is this week’s skill drill challenge? It is all about indulgent breakfasts. And for the red team that means learning to make a Sausage, Egg, & Brie on a Doughnut. Over on the blue team, they will be making a Bacon, Egg, & Cheese w/Giardiniera Honey Butter (this will be on a Kaiser roll).

Worst Cooks in America brings the flavors to breakfast and then a fried chicken dish

For this skill drill, each cook will have to make their own breakfast sandwich. It’s all about making a delicious and indulgent dish that is inspired by what they have already learned in boot camp so far. And some of the recruits really seem like they have been paying attention and are trying something different, but that works for breakfast sandwiches, while others are struggling.

Etherio won the skill drill challenge on the red team, while Kermit won over on the blue team. Etherio chooses to go to the singles zone, while Kermit decides to recouple up with Toneata.

And now it is time for both teams to learn how to make fried chicken dishes! Chef Anne is teaching the red team how to make a Fried Chicken with Red Cabbage Slaw. For the blue team, Chef Jeff is teaching his team how to make Crispy Fried Chicken with Tangy Slaw.

The recruits have just 60 minutes to put their own spin on these fried chicken dishes. And it’s as much about breaking down the chickens as they were shown, as it is figuring out the flavors and getting things cooked through properly.

After what starts out as a bit of difficulty in the kitchen with the chicken breakdowns, some of the recruits seem to figure out what they are doing and get right to the seasoning of it all.

Sixty minutes goes fast in the Worst Cooks in America kitchen, and it is time for the judging. For this week’s challenge, only one recruit will be heading home. So which member of the blue team will find themselves cooking for the last time? And which recruits come out on top in this main heat cook?

On the winning side of things we have Sami who won on the red team, while on the blue team, Sterling won!

Sadly the recruit sent home this week was Toneata!
