The Halloween Cookie Challenge is back for a second season the Food Network. And the second season kicks off on September 25, with Rosanna Pansino returning for another go around as co-host and judge.

However, while Pansino may be back, she has a new co-host and judge joining her. While Season 1 saw Jet Tila bringing his whit and wisdom to the table, for Season 2 we are getting the brilliance of Duff Goldman. (We are going to miss seeing Tila and Pansino together getting spooked over cookies.)

We are truly excited for a new season of spooky cookie making. And we are also thrilled to see how Goldman and Pansino work together on the Halloween Cookie Challenge. However, the thing I am most excited for is the Massachusetts (Mass.) trio of bakers who will be competing, especially since two of the bakers will be on the same episode!

Halloween Cookie Challenge is back and with three Massachusetts bakers competing

As someone who was born and raised in Massachusetts, I love seeing Food Network competitors who are from the same state. (And if they happen to be from my area, that is even better.)

According to Mass Live, the first baker, Aisling O’Sullivan of Auburn, will be competing on the premiere episode of Halloween Cookie Challenge. And I can’t wait to see how she does and to figure out what she comes up with to make us feel all the spooky vibes.

For the other two competitors, Mass Live revealed that “Massachusetts residents Loren Stanard, also of Auburn, and Nolan Schooley, of Billerica, both competed on the same episode of the Halloween Cookie Challenge, scheduled to air Oct. 2 at 10 p.m.”

Honestly, we were already excited for a new season of the Halloween Cookie Challenge on Food Network. It was such a great addition to the Halloween baking competition lineup from last year, so having it return is awesome. And to have three bakers from Massachusetts as someone from the same state is kind of thrilling. It also means there is an actual chance for me to get my hands on baked goods from Food Network competitors.

Who else is excited for the return of Halloween Cookie Challenge? Are we excited for the addition of Duff Goldman?
