Sartori Cheese can help you build the perfect charcuterie board
By Nancy West
The holidays are coming and we know that every gathering needs a charcuterie board! Charcuterie boards are trending for a reason…..who doesn’t love cheese? These boards are so easy to put together and are a real crowd pleaser. Cheese brand Sartori Cheese has shared some of their cheese recommendations for the perfect party platter!
Sartori has been making cheese since 1939, when Paolo Sartori founded the Wisconsin-based company. It is now a fourth-generation family business. The company currently makes four types of artisan cheese in eighteen varieties.
Pam Hodgson, Master Cheesemaker with Sartori, shared with Guilty Eats: “Whether you’re hosting a get-together with a group of friends or simply enjoying a small mid-afternoon snack, Sartori Cheese offers an elevated flavor at an affordable price point, making it accessible for entertaining. With flavors that are new and different from anything else in the world, our cheeses are crafted with real Wisconsin dairy and created to pair well with any occasion.”
Sartori Cheese has the perfect additions to your next charcuterie board!
Here are a couple of the Sartori cheeses that I think would be a perfect addition to any charcuterie board!
BellaVitano®:
BellaVitano is an original Sartori cow’s milk cheese that was introduced in 2008. They make nine different varieties of BellaVitano including Tennessee Whiskey, Tomato Basil and Espresso. Below are a couple of BellaVitano flavors that are perfect for a charcuterie board.
Merlot BellaVitano®:
The Merlot BellaVitano is soaked in, as the name suggests, merlot. This gives it a deep, fruity flavor and the rind is edible! This cheese pairs well with dried nuts, which can be added to your board. I enjoyed the crunch of the calcium crystals in this cheese (don’t worry, it’s normal and they form naturally as part of the aging process!).
Garlic & Herb BellaVitano®:
The Garlic & Herb flavor of BellaVitano was inspired by the Sartori family’s Italian kitchen. This cheese is full of garlic, lemon and parsley flavors. This cheese pairs well with dried salami, because every charcuterie board needs a selection of meats.
MontAmoré® Cheddar:
Cheddar is a classic and every cheese plate needs some type of this variety. The MontAmoré® Cheddar is another Sartori original. It’s named after the family’s homestead in Valdastico, Italy. This award winning cheese is a smooth, creamy white cheddar with hints of both sweet and savory and slight notes of Parmesan.
Rosemary & Olive Oil Asiago:
Sartori has taken the classic Asiago, an Italian cow’s milk cheese, and put their own spin on it. They’ve hand-rubbed this Asiago with olive oil and pieces of rosemary, resulting in an aromatic, savory and rich cheese. This cheese pairs well with crusty bread, but would also be tasty on top of a cracker.
These are just a few of the many cheeses that Sartori sells. You can use the Where to Buy link on the company’s website to find your nearest store that sells Sartori cheese. These cheeses are super affordable, with most priced starting at $6.99 a wedge.
Which of these cheeses will you be adding to your next charcuterie board?
