With the holiday season vastly approaching, everyone is looking for different cookie recipes to try and Reynolds Kitchens knows the struggle.

Due to that, the brand decided to share some of its unique cookie recipes as these are all inspired by different types of pie. Normally when people are prepping for the holidays, they’re ready to make cookies.

Pies are still good but making it in cookie form makes it more portable and a quicker bite. That’s why these 3 pie-inspired cookies need to be on your list for 2023.

These 3 pie-inspired cookies from Reynolds Kitchens are a must-try.

First up are Caramel Pecan Pie Cookies and for the cookies, you’ll need “2 ½ cups all-purpose flour, ½ teaspoon baking soda, 1 teaspoon baking powder, ¼ teaspoon salt, 1 cup unsalted butter, softened, 1 cup brown sugar, 1/3 cup sugar, 2 tablespoons turbinado sugar, 2 eggs, ½ teaspoon vanilla extract, 1 cup caramel morsel chips, ½ cup pecan pieces and 18 baking caramel squares,” but that’s not all. To make candied pecans, you’ll need 2 cups of pecan pies, 6 tablespoons of brown sugar, 6 tablespoons of water, and flaky salt. You can view the full recipes on the website, but this one does take a good bit of time as you have to chill the dough for an hour.

The next one is a Peppermint Pie Cookie which is a chocolatey peppermint delight. For the cookies, you’ll need: “2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour, 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder, plus additional for coating, 1 ½ teaspoon baking powder, ¼ teaspoon salt, 1 cup unsalted butter, softened, 1 cup sugar, 2 eggs, ½ teaspoon vanilla extract, and ¼ teaspoon peppermint extract.” For the filling, you’ll need: “4 ounces white chocolate, ¼ cup heavy cream, and ¼ cup crushed starlight mints.” This one also requires some prep work but they look TOO good to not try out.

Last but not least, we have the Eggnog Pie Cookies. As with the others, we’ll start with the cookie ingredients: “2 ½ cups all-purpose flour, 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder, ¼ teaspoon nutmeg, 1 cup unsalted butter, 2/3 cup sugar, 2 egg yolks, 1/3 cup eggnog, plus additional for brushing cookies and ½ teaspoon vanilla extract.” Then for the frosting, you’ll need: “1 cup butter, softened, ½ cup eggnog, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, ¼ teaspoon nutmeg, 6-8 cups powdered sugar, and ½ cup whipped cream or whipped topping.” These are easy to prep ahead of time and cook the next day which is always a plus.
