If there's one pop star who dominated 2024, it was Sabrina Carpenter and her biggest hit was easily "Espresso." She took that song all the way to the bank and to some of our favorite brands.
Carpenter ended up releasing 3 different "Espresso-themed" products. First was the Van Leeuwen Espresso-themed ice cream over the summer. Given how hot the song was, this couldn't have been a better idea. However, she didn't stop with just ice cream as she also collaborated with Absolut and Kahlua for an Espresso Martini Kit.
To end 2024, Carpenter collaborated with Dunkin' for "Sabrina's Brown Sugar Shakin' Espresso," which was released on December 31st. Carpenter did a cheeky little promo for it and gave us that last sip of Espresso we'd been craving all year. This release was timed perfectly with the launch of Dunkin's winter menu.
Those three food collaborations with Sabrina Carpenter were great, but let's hope she decides to keep the fun going into 2025. Short n' Sweet has so many great songs brands could get inspiration from so "Espresso" is just the tip of the iceberg.
These Sabrina Carpenter collabs don't need to be short and sweet.
There was one collaboration timed with the release of Sabrina's album which was her smoothie from Erewhon. However, since it was exclusive to that one particular store, it wasn't nearly as wide of a release for fans. With that being said, it still counts but it didn't end up being a part of the original list of fun foodie collaborations.
Looking at the rest of Short n' Sweet, the one brand I'd love to see Sabrina Carpenter work with is Dairy Queen. She could have an entire list of Blizzard specials themed after her songs like "Espresso," "Slim Pickins," "Please Please Please" and "Taste." Whether they went with some of Sabrina's favorite mix-ins or with flavors based on the songs, this could be a really fun one to plan for spring 2025.
"Taste" is such a popular song and since we're talking about food, taste is obvious. Most recently, Sonic released Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie-themed drinks so why not do Sabrina next? She's so popular and bound to give the chain an even bigger boost. Another option featuring Sabrina's songs could be Subway and as funny as she is, she's sure to have some great associations.
Ultimately, Sabrina Carpenter was the main character of 2024 and it's been awesome to see her success. Going into 2025, it would be great to see the trend continue. Whether it's a meal at a restaurant or more song-themed items, Sabrina Carpenter is in the foodie game and we're here for it.
