As I sip on a Ginger Lime poppi, I am writing of the latest news from the poppi prebiotic soda world. Poppi has introduced yet another new flavor, a limited edition Punch Pop for the summer.

Though I have not tasted the new prebiotic soda flavor yet (I cannot find it nearby), I already love the can design, a distinct departure from the standard two-color can design.

Artist Matthew Langille is responsible for the design, creating whimsical can art that epitomizes summer.

What does poppi Punch Pop taste like?

The art looks good, but does the latest poppi flavor taste as good as it looks? From what we are told, Punch Pop is a modern (and healthier) take on the tried-and-true nostalgic fruit punch of yesteryear (from our friends at Kool-Aid and Hawaiian Punch). Nostalgic fruit punch was not carbonated unless your grandma mixed it with whatever clear soda she had in the house: Sprite, 7-Up, Fresca, or ginger ale, so we are curious to experience the poppi fruit punch carbonation recipe.

Punch Pop has 30 calories, 5g of sugar, 3g of fiber, & natural fruit juice, and it contains no artificial dyes. The fruit flavor is derived from notes of apple, lemon, orange, and cherry. Grab one through Labor Day or while supplies last.

What about poppi Cream Soda?

I am falling behind on testing the new poppi flavors because I am still in search of its limited edition cream soda flavor.

Internet taste testers indicate it is delicious, but I might have missed the boat since it is already out of stock.

I am confused. Cream soda is a summer flavor that can be made into a refreshing float with a scoop of ice cream added. Let's hope poppi brings cream soda back for another summer surprise.
