Whether it's good genes, lots of exercise, healthy eating, or proper sleep hygiene -- everyone has questioned the secret to a long life. Around 108,000 centenarians have already made it to that point and deserve to reap their reward -- which is what A&W is doing with a wild new promo they've launched earlier this week (June 10).

Beginning this month, America's oldest franchised restaurant chain will offer anyone 100 or older free Root Beer Floats for life. The special opportunity comes at a time when A&W is celebrating its 105th birthday itself, so I guess it can also get free root beer floats.

"We wouldn't have survived the last century without them, so we wanted to show our appreciation with something special just for them," said Liz Bazner, VP of Marketing & Innovation for A&W restaurants in a press release.

For a restaurant that began as a small root beer stand in Lodi, California during a homecoming celebration for WWI veterans, it is only fitting that it recognizes the remaining few of the Greatest Generation, which spans from 1901 to 1927.

The company has also recruited two WWII veterans, 104-year-old Hazel Calloway and 100-year-old Glendell Bennett, to spread the word. In addition, fountain of youth influencer Baddiewinkle is helping to alert those who may want to take advantage of the offer, although she is only 95 herself and therefore is not eligible for free root beer floats. Sorry, Baddiewinkle.

If you are 100 years old and interested, you just need to visit any A&W location and have your identification available. Then, it will be time to unlock the nostalgic deliciousness of a root beer float.

As for anyone who is at least 13 years old or older and not 100, you can join the Rooty's Mug Club. While you won't be able to get root beer floats for life, the rewards program still offers a free float for your birthday and other promos throughout the year.

That said, if you've reached the age of 100, you deserve a root beer float. Also, congratulations on successfully navigating the internet if you're reading this!
