Burt's Bees and Hidden Valley Ranch team up for buffalo sauce, carrot and celery lip balm (seriously)

What’s better than eating some spicy buffalo wings, dripping with ranch and a side of celery and carrots? How about smearing those flavors directly on your lips? That’s exactly what Burt’s Bees will allow you to do with an April Fools joke turned reality: a limited-edition 4-pack of Burt’s Bees and Hidden Valley Ranch lip balm which “will boast the classic flavors of Hidden Valley Ranch, Buffalo Sauce, Crunchy Celery, and Fresh Carrot.”

"We are officially in wing eating season, which feels right at home for Hidden Valley Ranch,” said CC Ciafone, Marketing Director at Hidden Valley Ranch, via a press release provided to Guilty Eats. "As we inch closer to the biggest wing consumption day of the year, we are looking forward to teaming up with Burt’s Bees for this never-been-done-before collab - and our first foray into the beauty category!”

Clearly timed for the Super Bowl (or legally speaking “The Big Game”), as mentioned this all started as an April Fools joke from Burt’s Bees posted to Instagram back in 2022. But like most jokes, fans responded positively — and now, what was once the dream of many (smearing ranch sauce on your lips) will become the reality of few. Few, because this collabo will only be available a limited time, for $11.99, while supplies last.

“Fans responded so enthusiastically,” added Mariah Eckhardt, General Manager at Burt’s Bees. “So, for an exciting, limited release, we’re bringing together two fan favorites—Burt’s Bees lip balm and Hidden Valley Ranch. This delightfully unexpected union comes just in time for dry lip season and game day.” 

While no samples were provided by Burt’s Bees to Guilty Eats for review, we’re very much looking forward to tasting the pleasant burn of buffalo sauce on our lips all day — without the messy fingers.
