Back in 2022, a Tres Leches cookie was named the People's Choice cookie of the year at Crumbl Cookies. And now to kickstart February 2024, the brand is taking that iconic flavor and trying something new.
According to not only posts across social media, but also the Crumb Cookies Flavors website, it seems that the brand is currently testing a new Tres Leches Cake! Much like the recent Cinnamon Squares, this Tres Leches Cake is a moist square that they are hoping embodies the classic flavors of that iconic dessert, but perhaps with a Crumbl twist.
So what exactly can you expect from the Tres Leches Cake from Crumbl? Well according to their description, this is a "light, fluffy vanilla cake soaked in a classic tres leches sauce, topped with a whipped cream, and sprinkled with a layer of cinnamon." Sounds delicious right?
Crumbl Cookies is trying something new that involves the flavors of Tres Leches Cake
The Snackolator Instagram account apparently had a chance to get their hands on one of these test cookies/cakes, and they shared their own thoughts on their account, with a note that the cake is $1.30 more than their normal cookie prices. And that is $0.80 more than the Cinnamon Squares that they sold just a few weeks ago. However, even with that increased price tag, it seems as if they enjoyed this offering, calling it "delicious" and that they hope it gets a nationwide release.
Based on that description alone, we are also hoping that this testing goes well and they decide to release their Tres Leches Cake as a nationwide treat. It certainly sounds like it would be a nice option that works perfectly with so many of their cookies. Plus, it would be nice to snag something different to go along with an order of their weekly cookies.
We will say that across social media we have seen a number of posts about this testing and the fact that the cake not only sold out fast, but that people seemed to really enjoy this sweet treat. And hopefully that is a good sign for those of us who are fans of Crumble Cookies, but who don't actually live where they are testing this cake.
Did you know they were testing a Tres Leches Cake? Would you want to try this treat? Are you hoping this goes nationwide?
