Snag a $1 grilled cheese sandwich deal at Sonic for National Grilled Cheese Day

Grilled cheese is one of the easiest dishes to make – and also, frankly, one of the easiest dishes to ruin. Yes, the basic grilled cheese is cheese, bread, and some butter for your pan. But between unevenly melted cheese, burnt toast, and under-buttering your pan, there are so many things that can go wrong.

Thankfully, Sonic Drive-In is here to help save your grilled cheese craving on National Grilled Cheese Day. Per Today, Sonic is offering a $1 grilled cheese day deal, today only.

To be clear this is no-frills grilled cheese for a buck. If you go to the app, and click on the rewards tab, you should be able to get a grilled cheese for $1 plus tax. Any add-ons and it’ll cost you more than that.

Is this worth it? You’ll have to factor in gas costs to drive to your local Sonic, time, energy, and all of that. But if the idea of grabbing a loaf of bread, a stick of butter, and some Kraft singles sounds too much for you, maybe this is exactly the sort of deal you need to properly celebrate this grilled cheese holiday.

If it’s not, you can always take the other option. Personally, I love grilled cheese on brioche bread with bacon and pepper jack cheese. But feel free to customize your own! Brie and apples on ciabatta! Swiss and kale on whole wheat! The sky is the limit with grilled cheese – as long as it’s grilled and has cheese, you are good to go.
