KFC offers free delivery on Sundays, extends $10 Tuesdays
KFC is heating up the Value Wars with a brand new offer for fans of the chicken chain: free deliveries on Sundays, all summer, starting this week. And not only that, they’re extending their $10 Tuesdays deal, which, and you may not know this, is a different day of the week.
Let’s talk about the new deal, first, and all apologies to Franklin D. Roosevelt on dropping his iconic phrase without actually referencing the New Deal in any way. Starting this Sunday, June 2, you can get free delivery all day, on Sundays, all the way until the end of the summer.
The little caveats here that you can probably figure out for yourself but I’ll say anyway… The free delivery deal is only in the KFC app, and on KFC.com at participating locations. Also if you’re wondering what “end of summer” means, the last day you can get the free Sunday delivery deal is August 25, 2024, aka the final Sunday before Labor Day. And per the first point, this deal is not available on third-party platforms like Grubhub, Uber Eats, etc. Plus, taxes, tips, and fees are extra - and personally, I would highly recommend you take that money you saved on delivery and give your delivery person a nice tip, because they are gonna be busy on Sundays.
In addition, KFC is extending their $10 Tuesdays deal, which was launched recently as part of the Taste of KFC value menu. Per the deal, you can get an eight-piece bucket of drums and thighs. And when I sung the praises of this deal on April 8 (when it was first announced), I got a very long letter from a reader explaining to me why this was a bad deal, actually. Friend, thank you for writing in, I appreciate you reading, but agree to disagree: $10 for a bucket of chicken, here in New York in particular where prices are sky high, is a very good deal.
I don’t need to tell you this, but you cannot get free Sunday delivery on the $10 Tuesday deal, because that would make no sense.
In addition, KFC PR notes that you can get a $4.99 Meal for One featuring two pieces of chicken (a drumstick and a thighstick), mashed potatoes and gravy, and a biscuit. Again, a good deal in my opinion, and I love that the value wars are resulting in these great $5 boxes for fast food fans. Saving money and eating delicious food? We’re all winners here.
