Krispy Kreme moves from “mom” to “Mother” with new Dolly Parton line of doughnuts

We’ve just wrapped up one Krispy Kreme collection all themed around Mom, and now it’s time to turn our attention to Mother. In other words, starting today the doughnut purveyor is launching the Dolly Southern Sweets Collection in collaboration with the one and only Dolly Parton herself.

“Having some of my very favorite southern flavors in one, unique doughnut collection from Krispy Kreme is so special to me,” Parton said via press release. “These doughnuts remind me of home. So, I’m excited for folks to share them with their own family and friends. They’re pretty sweet, if I do say so myself!”

The limited edition Krispy Kreme flavors include a Dolly Dazzler Doughnut, a Peachy Keen Cobbler Doughnut, a Banana Puddin’ Pie, and a Chocolate Crème Pie. You can probably figure out what these flavors are for yourself, but in case not, here’s the description via the brand’s PR:

Dolly Dazzler Doughnut – an Original Glazed® Doughnut dipped in strawberry icing, with gold, pink and white glitter sprinkles and a signature chocolate Dolly butterfly piece.

Peachy Keen Cobbler Doughnut – an unglazed doughnut filled with real peach filling, dipped in brown sugar icing and crunchy cobbler topping.

Banana Puddin’ Pie – an unglazed doughnut filled with banana pudding made with wafers and banana pudding KREME, dipped in yellow icing, with white icing swirls and a wafer cookie.

Chocolate Crème Pie – an Original Glazed® doughnut topped with a swirl of chocolate brownie cream and vanilla whipped topping, sprinkled with chocolate cookie crumble.

These four new doughnuts will come in a limited-edition “Dolly Parton dozens box,” presumably fleshed out with your regular array of Original Glazed doughnuts. Or you can pick up a 6-pack at your local grocery store featuring the Dolly Dazzler Doughnut, Banana Puddin’ Pie, and Chocolate Crème Pie Doughnut.

But that’s not all! It wouldn’t be a Dolly Parton doughnut collection without a party, and that’s exactly what will happen on Saturday, May 18, 2024. Fans who get “Dolly’d Up,” aka dress in your favorite bit of Dolly Parton paraphernalia, and head to their local Krispy Kreme will get a free Original Glazed Doughnut. Don’t have a blonde wig or cowboy suit? No worries: sing your favorite Dolly song in the doughnut shop, and you’ll get a free doughnut, as well.
