Raisin Nut Bran from General Mills doesn't get nearly enough cereal love

When it comes to breakfast, cereal is always a great option for people looking for a fast and delicious meal. And honestly, a bowl of cereal is good at any time of the day, including as a late night snack. But with so many cereals on store shelves, there are some amazing options that get lost in the shuffle.

Thanks to General Mills, we have one of the most perfect cereals on store shelves, the iconic Raisin Nut Bran. The only problem is that it can be so hard to actually find this cereal anymore. At this point, the easiest option for finding Raisin Nut Bran is to head to either Walmart or Target. And if you don't mind a little delayed satisfaction, you can also order a box (or two) off of Amazon.

On a personal level, I think Raisin Nut Bran is truly top tier cereal. It is one of the best flavor profiles on the market and I will go out of my way to snag a box. The fact that I can no longer go to my closest grocery store is truly disappointing.

But maybe the reason it is harder to find is because people don't understand the magic of Raisin Nut Bran. I think the name of this cereal might be a bit misleading for some, because you don't get the full scope of what makes this cereal so good. So let me break it down for you!

General Mills has one of the best cereals on the market in the form of Raisin Nut Bran

Obviously we are starting with a bowl of flakes, but not just bran flakes, as there are also wheat flakes in the mix. It adds layers and depths to every bite. Then we have the raisins, but not just any raisins. These raisins are coated in crushed almonds (basically they powder up almonds and coat the raisins in it). Finally, the bowl of cereal is rounded out with slivers of almonds.

This cereal really is all about the layers. And it makes it a next level experience with every bite. For me it is the almond forward bits that really make this a winner. And honestly the fact that this isn't on more people's shopping lists is mind-boggling. This should be up there with any other cereal with flakes and raisins.

If you love almonds, raisins, and cereal all together, then this is a must have option for breakfast, late snacks, or any time of the day when you want a pick-me-up.
