Are you ready to Guac and roll? Shake Shack is, as they’re all in on avocados, teaming up with Avocados from Mexico for – not a joke – Avocado Experts to help you choose the perfect avocado, and slice them table-side for you.

Oh, plus you can win a free trip to New York City, but LET’S TALK AVOCADOS!!

The promotion will only be available at select Shake Shacks in New York, Pennsylvania, Florida, Texas, and California* on Thursday, April 25 and Friday, April 26, 2024. Once a customer enters a Shake Shack and orders a sandwich or burger with avocado, they’ll be “greeted by an on-site Avocado Expert in a special uniform who will present a selection of avocados to choose from (like a sommelier),” per PR language provided to Guilty Eats.

Once you meet with your Avocado Expert, you can choose whichever avocado you’d like, and they will slice it in front of you, and then add it to your order. The goal is to educate folks about the health –  and taste – benefits of avocados, per Avocados from Mexico’s whole purpose.

But the nice bonus is that you can also get that avocado, for free. If you order a sandwich or burger anywhere nationwide where there isn’t an Avocado Expert, you can get avocado added for free between April 25 and April 28. That holds for in the store, online, or in the app. In addition, you can enter for a chance to win a free trip to NYC for a visit to the Shake Shack Innovation Kitchen. There, you'll get an exclusive avocado menu to try, and I will be extremely jealous of you.

So there you go! Avocado lovers, your time has come. You’ll be the next Avocado Expert in no time.

*Specific Shake Shack locations offering the Avocado Expert are: Williamsburg, Suburban Square, Mary Brickell Village, Valley Fair, Long Beach, and Dallas Uptown.
