The dog days of summer are upon us and Taco Bell is doing its part to help us cool off. Of course, we're talking about the chain's new drinks, not a taco.

Of course, we can't fault you if you're craving Taco Bell during this heatwave. With how hot it is, no one wants to cook and you're more focused on getting cool and spending as much time out of the heat as you can.

That's why I had to show some love to Taco Bell's newest line of items which are the Limonada Freezes which come in three different flavors. There is the classic Limonada Freeze which is described as "A lemonade flavored Freeze is our spin on a Mexican-inspired staple." That's not the only variety of Limonada, though.

If you're looking for a different flavor, Taco Bell is also offering a Vanilla Creme Limonada Freeze which features a vanilla creme swirl, and the Strawberry Limonada Freeze. The addition of strawberry helps to make this a sweet yet still tart delight.

What should you pair with the new Limonada freezes from Taco Bell?

If you're looking to get a freeze, you usually want something to go along with it. That's why I had to pair each of these drinks with a different Taco Bell menu item. First is the classic Limonada freeze which is a lemonade-flavored drink I'd pair it with something classic so I'm going with either a soft taco or a crunchy taco. Sometimes you're craving something simple and that's exactly what these items provide.

Moving onto the Vanilla Creme Limonada, this one definitely seems like a sweeter option so it would be best to pair it with something incredibly salty and savory. For that, I'm thinking of the spicy potato taco. You'll get the savory bite from the potatoes, the crispness from the lettuce, the 3-cheese TB blend, and lastly, that chipotle sauce for an extra zing. While it might seem like an unlikely pairing, don't knock it until you've had it.

Last but not least is the Strawberry Limonada Freeze which is another sweet and tart mix. This time though, I wanted to go with something that isn't as basic. That's why I'm recommending the Loaded Beef Nachos as it's a mix of flavors. These nachos come with seasoned beef, beans, nacho cheese, sour cream, red sauce, and guacamole. Pair it with the Strawberry Limonada Freeze and you're in for a real treat. This mix of flavors is sure to make your tastebuds sing and that's all you can really ask for.
