Taco Bell Tuesday: Nacho Fries are coming back with a new, saucy twist
Nacho Fries fans, your time has come. Taco Bell is once again bringing back the beloved item, which has bopped on and off the menu for years. But this time, there's a twist: Secret Aardvark is providing a hot sauce for the fries we cannot wait to get our mouths on.
When Nacho Fries return on April 25, you can still order your regular Nacho Fries... But you can also order Secret Aardvark Nacho Fries for a limited time. The brand's press release describes it best: "Secret Aardvark Nacho Fries take the hot sauce brand’s Serrabanero sauce’s green tomatoes, roasted tomatillos, serrano and green habanero pepper flavors, and blends it with savory, zesty ranch for an all-new sauce experience bespoke to Taco Bell. Crispy fries are seasoned with bold Mexican
spices and topped with premium, flavorful slow-roasted chicken, a three-cheese blend, reduced-
fat sour cream, nacho cheese sauce and pico de gallo."
Sounds like an experience for the senses!
Given that this is the 11th time Nacho Fries are "back" at Taco Bell, this is a pretty fun way to celebrate without doing something completely bonkers. Play to the crowd, while still adding a few riffs and tweaks, to use a music metaphor!
Taco Bell has a surprise Tuesday drop planned tying into Nacho Fries
The other cool thing with this release is that Taco Bell and Secret Aardvark are teaming up with Bryce Wong for a Tuesday drop. While the details are a surprise until the drop, I am predicting it'll be merchandise of some kind. Honestly, I'd love to see a cool Nacho Fries cup that also holds a bottle of Baja Blast Mountain Dew.
Even though the return of Nacho Fries isn't surprising, it's something a lot of Taco Bell fans look forward to. Plus it's a completely different offering than anything else on TB's menu. It's pretty surprising Taco Bell has yet to make Nacho Fries a permanent item -- but maybe one day. Until then, we have these "surprise" returns to look forward to.
The even better news is that Taco Bell is bringing back Nacho Fries through the summer so you'll be able to enjoy them for months to come. Given how many changes and collaborations Taco Bell has announced this year, I'm excited to see what the brand does next. Thankfully, there is still plenty of time left in the year and plenty of other LTO Taco Bell items to try.
Will you be grabbing some Nacho Fries when they release on April 25?
