Taco Bell Tuesday: Which new free Rewards perk is the best bang for your buck?

Taco Bell is constantly cycling through deals and great promos if you're a Taco Bell Rewards members. And this newest one might be the best one yet... And the toughest decision.

While we've previously shared the $1 Bell Box deal, Taco Bell has changed things up again and is now offering a free item upon joining the Rewards program. This time, you have the opportunity to get either a Cantina Chicken Crispy Taco, a Beefy 5-Layer Burrito, or a Soft Taco for free upon joining.

Once you sign up, you can grab your free item along with the rest of your order and you're set. Each purchase also gives you points which can be redeemed for free items.

Which Taco Bell Rewards pick is the best bang for your buck?

With these new Taco Bell Reward options, you might be wondering which item would be the best deal for you. Even though you'll be getting it for free, you still want to make sure you're getting the most out of this one-time offer, so let's break down the items.

First up is the Cantina Chicken Crispy Taco. This is a part of TB's new Cantina Chicken Menu and is normally priced at $3.19. For those who are curious about what you're getting, each Cantina Chicken Crispy Taco features a cheesy outer shell that is filled with Cantina Chicken, a Three-Cheese Blend, and Jalapeño Sauce. You're also given an Avocado Verde Salsa packet to go along with it.

The next item is a Beefy 5-Layer Burrito. This is a staple at Taco Bell and features some of the brand's best ingredients. Made with Seasoned Beef, Nacho Cheese, Sour Cream, the Three-Cheese Blend and Beans, this is a massive portion. It's also normally priced at $4.19 and is a favorite item of the brand.

Last but not least is the classic Taco Bell Soft Taco. This features Seasoned Beef, Lettuce, and Cheese. It's simple but a classic for a reason. One of these will set you back $1.79 and frankly, it's one of those items that never gets old. However, for the purpose of this experiment, I have to say that this one isn't the best bang for your buck (as you probably already figured out).

That leaves the Beefy 5-Layer Burrito and the Cantina Chicken Crispy Taco going head-to-head. As someone who has tried both of these items, they're both good but the burrito is overall more filling. However, if you're looking to try the new Cantina Chicken Menu, you could go for the Cantina Chicken Crispy Taco.

All in all, it's truly up to you which one you pick -- but I'd say the Cantina Chicken Crispy Taco is the best bang for your buck. You'll be able to try out something new, and save a little over $3. Who can be mad about that? If you're craving beef though, you can always opt for the Beefy 5-Layer Burrito. Even if you don't try the Beefy 5-Layer Burrito, it's featured in a lot of Taco Bell's boxes so you'll get your chance.
