This April Fools' prank is honestly not a bad idea.

Sometimes, you want fresh breath, and other times, you want spicy breath. Wait, that's not right. But if you did want that, Tic Tac and Del Taco's April Fools' Day collaboration would be the perfect combo.

Today on April 1, Tic Tac and Del Taco decided to come together to introduce a product we never knew we needed, and sadly, does not exist. But it should!

Known as Del Tic Tac-o Packs, these are Del Taco flavored mints. The flavor you'll be able to enjoy this year? It's hot sauce -- and no worries if you're a spice wimp, there are different levels of heat, based on Del Taco's iconic hot sauces.

Each pack supposedly comes with 60 mints, and you can grab them in Mild, Del Scorcho, and Del Inferno. How can you say no to something like that? Who doesn't love an extra spicy mint when you're trying to have fresh breath?!

The Tic Tac Del Taco mints are sadly not real

Since it's April 1 and thus April Fools' Day, I'm sure most of you have figured out that this is Tic Tac and Del Taco's prank even from the header image. As far as foodie pranks go, this is one of my favorite ones. It's such a fun idea and honestly would be something I could see people trying.

Even if you're not a hot sauce fan, there is no denying this was a good joke. The thing that makes it even cooler is that the images look super realistic. Tic Tac made them look so real and that's just so freaking cool. The thought of taco mints is a little bit unsettling because I can't imagine what kind of flavor that would be. But: I would be willing to try them! Call me, Del Taco and Tic Tac!

As mentioned though, this was a prank for Tic Tac and Del Taco so we don't have to worry about hot sauce or taco mints, if that's not your thing. If you're headed out to Del Taco, you can still grab your favorite items and get that yummy flavor without worrying about the burn from a hot sauce mint. On the other hand, if you're sad this was just a prank, you could even finish your meal off with a Tic Tac to show both brands some love.

Either way, I hope this isn't the end of the Del Tic Tac-o saga because that name is just too good. It works on so many levels. We can only hope that the two decide to work together next year. Or perhaps sooner?
