Was the Olivia Rodrigo GUTS Cookie at Crumbl worth the hype?

In February 2024, Crumbl Cookies announced that they had collaborated with singer, Olivia Rodrigo to give fans a chance to enjoy a cookie inspired by her 'GUTS' tour. Every week since that announcement was made, the limited edition Olivia Rodrigo GUTS Cookie has been made available at Crumbl locations near whatever city the singer would be performing in for that week.

At that time, they also revealed that the cookie would be made available at all Crumbl locations to celebrate the final week of the tour as well. And that week has arrived. From August 19 through August 24, fans of Olivia Rodrigo can finally try this limited edition cookie inspired by her tour.

For anyone who either missed out on that first announcement when the cookie flavor was unveiled or who has yet to snag one of these purple gems for yourself, here is how Crumbl describes this limited edition treat:

"Inspired by Rodrigo’s music and her signature color, the GUTS cookie consists of two purple vanilla cookies sandwiched around a layer of vanilla buttercream and triple-berry jam. To finish it off, the cookie is rolled in colorful star sprinkles and topped with a star-shaped cutout."

Is the GUTS Cookie from Crumbl worth the hype and the wait?

If you are a fan of Crumbl, you already know what to expect from their cookies. And if you are loving their sandwich cookies, then this is an added win all around.

While this cookie may be purple, it is primarily a vanilla forward cookie that gets a hint of berry fun once you get to the jam that layered with a vanilla buttercream. All things considered, if you like vanilla cookies from Crumbl then you will certainly like this one.

For us, we just wanted more of the triple-berry jam. I think if there had been a touch less vanilla buttercream and more of the jam, then this could have been a real home run of a cookie. That being said, this was not a bad cookie in any way. And we would absolutely grab this one all over again.
