But the unique thing about this annual release is that it’s different every year. Now, it’s time to reveal what flavor you’ve been tasting this season.

Without further ado, this year’s flavor is pink fruit candy. If that’s what you guessed, your taste buds were spot on! From this one to candy corn five years ago, the quest to guess the flavor has become a Halloween tradition for many.

For those who didn’t get a chance to guess this time, fear not. It’s likely Mountain Dew will continue this popular concept next year, allowing fans to play sleuth in this annual flavor mystery.

Considering possible flavors for next year

Although we are a long way off from fall 2025, it is never too early to begin thinking about next year. And with that comes a look at a few flavors that could end up being the mystery one when fall rolls around again.

I think a couple that would make sense are apple pie, SweeTart, cotton candy, and caramel apple. Each fits the fall vibe and would be a unique flavor for people to try to crack the code on. Sadly, regardless of what is chosen, it will have to wait almost a full year until we can taste it.
