When will Masterchef Season 9 premiere on FOX?

While the news has been about cancellations, renewals, and new shows on FOX, it’s easy to overlook the shows coming this summer. Gordon Ramsay’s Masterchef Season  9 premieres in just over a week. Are you ready?

FOX has been in the news a lot recently with its Upfronts and decisions to cancel two popular shows. Because of this, some of the summer programming has been overlooked. One of the returning shows for this summer is Masterchef Season 9. Just when exactly does it return and what can you expect? Here are all the details you need.

Masterchef Season 9 premieres this month

There isn’t long to wait for the premiere for the latest season. Gordon Ramsay is back to judge contestants, as they tackle some of the trickiest and most delicious recipes ever. The Masterchef Season 9 premiere airs on May 30 at 8/9c on FOX.

Things are going to seem a little bit odd to start the season. There will be a two-hour special to kick-start the season. On the following Wednesday, June 6, there will be another two-hour special running 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. EST.

From June 13, things will be back to normal and we will be back to the one-hour program starting at 8 p.m. EST. Gordon Ramsay’s 24 Hours to Hell and Back will debut in the following hour, so you still get two hours of Ramsay back-to-back.

Who’s returning and who’s new?

Ramsey is returning with Aaron Sanchez and Joe Bastianich. Bastianich returns after a break, taking over Christina Tosi’s position, who has decided to walk away after the last three seasons on the show. Sanchez returns after his debut season last year.
