Canadian’s cheer as Tim Hortons all-day breakfast is coming tomorrow
By Callum Gunn
All-day breakfast at Tim Hortons is official. After a successful trial in select franchises, the breakfasts are coming nationwide. Rejoice!
Canadians are cheering, as Tim Hortons has finally jumped on the bandwagon of all-day breakfasts. It’s not the first fast food joint to take its time offering this. In fact, only recently did McDonalds start offering it. From July 25, it will be possible for Canadians to order their favorite breakfast items throughout the day.
This is all possible thanks to a few select stores in Ontario, where a trial has taken place for a few weeks this summer. The all-day breakfast was so popular that it was obvious to bring it everywhere.

Tim Hortons bringing in all-day breakfasts shouldn’t be that surprising. McDonalds has opted to bring theirs in to global locations because of the success in the States. It was obvious that Canada would be one of those locations, and that’s one of the main fast food joints that Tim Hortons needs to compete with. Why not offer customers the same?
A&W also started offering all-day breakfast last year. It makes sense to go where the demand is, and Canadians want their breakfast food throughout the day. Tim Hortons has heard this directly from customers and they’re finally offering the supply.
The question is whether this is enough to save the company’s face. Right now, Tim Hortons is in a battle with some of its franchises. As Ontario’s minimum wage goes up and the company faces cost-cutting methods, the businesses have been struggling. Public image isn’t what it used to be and this could be seen as a ploy to overcome that negativity. Is it too little too late?
After all, it’s not just all-day breakfasts. The company is looking at adding kid’s packs, loyalty cards, and more. It looks like this is definitely to boost image and get families back.
