Chipotle aiming to be the fastest in the biz
By Callum Gunn
Chipotle has an aim, and that aim is to be the fastest of the fast food restaurants as they strive to bring burritos to you faster than ever before.
When you want fast food fast, Chipotle might be the place for you. You will need to be in the mood for burritos over anything else though but if you’re a burrito fan then Chipotle is the place to be.
This is because the fast food restaurant is aiming to cut down on their food delivery times even more than what they already have done. Back in May, their delivery times were slashed from an average of 34 minutes to less than 30.

That’s pretty impressive when you think about it but it’s not enough for Chipotle apparently. They are going to go for an even faster delivery time by shaving off another two to three minutes.
And with their in-restaurant shelving, this is entirely possible. In-restaurant shelving is for digital orders that have been made. It allows the customer who placed the digital order to avoid the dreaded line in the restaurant and collect their order straight from the shelf.

Third party delivery companies can also use this service and this is what Chipotle hopes will bring down the delivery time even further.
The in-restaurant shelving service is only available in branches throughout New York however so until it is rolled out elsewhere, which is the plan, delivery times would probably stay at around the 30-minute marker.
However, once installed and ready to go, expect your burrito to be delivered to your door faster than ever before.
